Invite people using their own phones

1. The owner opens the right group, selects People, then Add a person.
2. Beside that person, choose Create invitation code. Copy the code and send it to them yourself.
3. The person opens getnextthing.com/library, creates a free account or signs in, then enters the code.
4. They can use the app immediately in their browser. Installing it on their home screen is optional.

No separate purchase is needed. Adding a name uses one place in the group. Connecting that person’s login does not use another place. Each person should use their own invitation code.

Invitations are not emailed automatically. The owner shares the code. If a code has been replaced or no longer works, ask the owner for a new one.

Set up one shared tablet

Picture view helps younger children choose their picture, hear a task with Listen, and tap I did it! when finished. Add a photo under People so each child can find themselves. Full board brings back the detailed task list. Listen needs sound turned on and a browser that supports reading aloud.

1. On the tablet, sign in as the owner and open the group you want to display.
2. Add everyone under People. They do not need email addresses, passwords, or join codes to use this tablet.
3. Return here and select Start shared tablet. Your editing session will sign out, and the group display will open.
4. Everyone taps their name to see tasks, mark work done, or spend their points. Select Everyone to see the whole group.

The tablet uses one device place. Each person still uses one member place. Everyone using it can choose any name, so use this mode on a trusted family or workplace device.

Keep the tablet plugged in and connected to the internet. Keep screen awake requests permission to prevent dimming while this page is visible. If it cannot stay awake, check the tablet’s display timeout and battery-saving settings. Full screen or Add to Home Screen gives you more room.

The board refreshes every 15 seconds. After a minute without a tap, it returns to Everyone. It stays connected across reloads, and shared access renews while the tablet is in use. After a long break, the owner may need to set it up again. Owner settings require signing in. The owner can remove this tablet from Your library and devices on another device.

Keep groups separate or use the same people

Menu → My groups and available places shows who is using each group’s allowance. “3 of 5 places used · 2 available” includes the owner.

When opening a profile card, keep the current group or start a different group. Each new group includes the owner and four available places. You can create a custom group free. Purchased cards can be reused; member upgrades apply only to the group chosen at checkout.
